Charlie covering his ears
Two annoying girls moved into the apartment above me.
I'm forced to hear every dumb thing they say.
These are my letters to them.

“Isn’t it weird that we use the same word for the devil as we do for the most fab fabric?” Are you talking about Satan and satin?

    i really hope they are

  2. Laurie says:

When I read this I thought they meant denim. Then I read Charlie’s response and thought, “yeah, they’re probably not stupid enough to get confused between denim and demon.” Then I remembered some of the other posts. Wouldn’t put it past them…

  3. Leila says:

Where do they come from that pronounces Satan and Satin the exact same way??

  4. Leila says:

And would think that silk would be the most fab fabric…

  5. Luna Lovegood says:

Hey they are one letter off, which gives them a 3rd grade average. They’re progressing!

  6. Lena says:

Satan and satin aren’t even pronounced the same way? Just…how?
Imagine the look on the face of a salesgirl when Claire or Cathy asks for a “Satan” dress.

  7. Prudence says:

We’re studying roots in English class (bear with me for a moment please) and there is a root that means togetherness, binding, marriage, etc. etc. It’s gam. I busted up laughing in LA today just because I seriously cannot see these girls actually getting a guy stupid enough to marry them :) On track now…
    wow…….

  8. Becca says:

You should tell them that if you re-arrange the letters in Santa you get Satan. That would blow their minds.

  9. Laura says:

Hey Charlie! I would just like to say tomorrow is my birthday! So I’m excited for the post :)

  10. Yun Jiu says:

Behold! The mighty poly cotton blend!

  11. pottergirl94 says:

I know it’s a kids game but. You should get them to play bloody Mary and ask their housekeeper to creep into the mirror then tell us how they react.

  12. Rebi says:

You’d have to REALLY screw up the pronounciation in order to get Satan from satin. Would have asked how in the world they would have done that, but then again, its the GAC.

  13. pottergirl94 says:

I could understand this mistake if your maybe 4 or 5

  14. GuardGirlie93 says:

Oh boy. Satan and satin. What will come next?

  15. Natari says:

Well I can see where the confusion comes from if they used hooked on phonics to learn how to spell. Most people I’ve heard pronounce satan (saTIN) with the I sound instead of an a

  16. Hayley says:

I read this aloud to a few of my friends because I thought it was so funny. One of my friends laughs then says, “Wait, is that spelled the same?”

  17. Anne says:

I actually don’t like satin. I think it’s too slippery and cold.

  18. Grace says:

you just can’t make this kinda of stuff up… too crazy!
