Oh boy. I just had GAC moment. I almost asked what babies had to do with Labor Day. It is a sad sad day for me.
Not really. That just shows that you actually know what Labour Day’s about and that you aren’t so thick as to think that it’s related to babies.
Either they’ll marry some rich guy or they’ll end up in the poor house. I don’t think there is a middle ground

You know, this is the first one I’ve had trouble translating to my neighbors.
Labor and child labor are a little differently said here.
You have a growing community of friends overseas, you know! My upstairs neighbors aren’t too stupid, but they do love this website, so translating it to them is sort of how I met them. Last year, I heard a broken reading of the same page I was on and so I decided to say hello. Lately I’ve been e-mailing transaltions in two or three languages to most of my friends.
Haha. I’m a non-American fan too. There are a few of us here on the site.

This is one of those classic GAM mixups. Labor is also the term used for the process of childbirth or the time therein. They mistakenly associated labor day to that definition.
At least they knew it is/was Labor day…

I don’t mean to be a GAC, but… are you even allowed to be near newborn babies if you aren’t the mom or dad or something?
Usually they have a glass wall-type thing you can look through into the nursery and see all the newborns.

If by fake you mean ‘untrue’ or ‘made up’, sometimes truth is stranger than fiction. I’ve been around people that have said stuff on the level of GAC. Or if you mean fake as in ‘these girls are fake (self-absorbed nitwits)’…I’d have to agree.
