Just retired my 7 year old ibook g4 for an iMac. It still works but the hard drive is starting to fail. None of my fellow college students PC laptops made it through let alone lasted for years after (it is not a cost deal if you have to buy a new one every 2 to 3 years). Also, I am a technophobe. Macs are perfect, they hold your hand and treat you like a moron. Even in death they start making noise and letting you know of their impending demise. I love my Mac… in a wrong way!

I would like to point out that macs are not for “stupid hipsters”. I am an art student (inspiring graphic designer) and Macs are better than pcs for that reason. You may consider that a “hipster profession”, but I’m not going for it because it isnt “mainstream”. I’d rather a pc because I was raised on those but Macs are better for my profession and offer a lot more options for art. Yes macs arent mainstream, but Apple certaintly isn’t a hipster company.
Chill, dude, I’m joking. I have nothing against the art profession, I just REALLY hate Macs.

You can too right click on macs. Older macs you have to click “ctrl+click” but newer ones actually do have right click.

The only reason why i ever replaced mine is because i wanted to take advantage of some of the new (and awesome) technologies available. not because i HAD to.
My Win Pentium 100mhz still works perfectly. I even put XP on it.
(for those not technically inclined, i’m talking about a computer that has a 2gb hard drive and 64mb of RAM. and is older than me.)
The macs that my junior high and high school had broke down all the time.
I am technically illiterate, not stupid. My talent lies in interacting with humans, not bits of compressed sand and metal. Thus I am a Mac person as they are designed for the tech challenged. Their reliability virtually eliminates the need for… YOU, the computer tech.
